About Me

My name is Wendy DeGroot, and I pride myself on my dedication to my clients while helping them navigate the world of taxes and bookkeeping. My path to opening this business has been built on more than 25 years of dedicated financial experience.

My career started in 1996 in the retirement plan services industry with The Capital Group and American Funds Service Company. I spent eight years there, including my time as a Fund Representative, where I was responsible for:

• Guiding clients through their retirement plan options
• Resolving complex account and service issues
• Educating plan participants on fund details and market performance

This background in long-term financial planning gave me a strong foundation, but I wanted to dive deeper into the financial picture. In 2004, I pivoted to the world of tax and began working with H&R Block. I spent 13 years there and advanced to Senior Tax Specialist, mastering the intricacies of tax preparation and strategy.

In 2017, I knew it was time to combine all my experience under one roof. I founded Wendy DeGroot Tax Service LLC to offer a one-on-one service that truly covers my clients' needs, from meticulous Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation to strategic Tax Consulting. I look forward to putting my unique experience to work for you.
